Board Meeting Minutes
Minutes 7-9-08
Members Present: President: Susan Gengler
Past President: Karen Ahrenstorff
Ann Lange, Dean Meixell, Judy Meyer, Bruce Nowlin, Bob Thompson, Mike Wallace, and Sara Nilson-Coordinator. Members absent: Gordy Kuznia, Neil Pedersen
Visitor’s present: Jennifer Wiens and Sue Harazin.
President Susan Gengler called the meeting to order.
Minutes from Previous Meeting: June 11, 2008 approved.
Treasurer’s Report and Financials: Financials read and approved.
Executive Coordinator’s Report: Sara Nilson gave update. Sara informed the board of the computer in the Chamber office no longer being able to boot up. A request was made to purchase a new tower for the office. A quote from Net Medix was given of $642.42 + tax for a new tower and an external hard drive to back up all information on computer. Motion approved.
Committee Reports:
Promotions Committee –Susan Gengler gave update.
Membership Committee –Mike Wallace gave update.
Old Business:
1. Golf Tournament- Mike Wallace, Chair. Mike gave update. Golf Tournament set for Friday, August 22 at North Links Golf course in Mankato. Discussion was held regarding a hole in one prize.
2. Renewals Update- Sara updated the Board of Membership renewals. Board members were asked to give a call to those that have not yet renewed.
3. Goals- Networking was discussed. Business After Hours will now be held in September, December, March & June on the first Thursday of the month from 5-7 pm with the exception of March. Lunch & Learn will now be held in July, October, January & April. Date to be determined. Coffee with the Chamber will be held August, November, February & May. The second Wednesday of the month from 7am -8am. Communication, Committees and Membership is tabled to the next meeting.
New Business:
- Duck Days~ Jennifer Wiens and Sue Harazin were present to review Duck Days. Some changes may need to be made for 2009 including additional committee members and community organizations participation. The date has been set for June 18-20.
